Product Description:
The 176F2137 is a replacement power electronics board produced by Danfoss for the VLT PowerCards series. It serves as an internal subassembly in a VLT medium-voltage converter, where it provides gate-drive, sensing, and protection functions for the host inverter. Installed in the assigned card slot, the board supports controlled switching of the power devices so the drive can regulate motor speed in heavy-duty applications such as pump stations, compressors, and material-handling conveyors. These functions also help the converter monitor switching conditions and respond to faults during continuous operation.
This board is mounted on the drive’s inverter side, so it works between the DC link and the three-phase motor output rather than on the grid input section. The hardware uses a single Power Card format, which keeps the electrical interface and physical layout consistent within the drive stack. Because it is assigned to the output stage, the board supports the section that shapes motor voltage and current in response to drive commands. The board has a coated finish that helps protect conductors from moisture and dust. Its thermal design and copper trace sizing support drives rated up to 315 kW. Creepage distances also match the 500 V voltage class to reduce the risk of flashover during switching.
The assembly has a gross shipping mass of 2.5 kg, and the net mass of 2.5 kg indicates that no extra mounting hardware is included in the carton. Its physical volume is limited to 13.774 dm³, allowing the board to fit behind the front cover of deep cabinet drives without blocking normal airflow. The compact size is useful in enclosed drive cabinets where clearance around heat-producing components and bus structures is limited. As part of the VLT PowerCards series, it follows the same connector keys and diagnostic header arrangement used on related versions. That layout keeps the board aligned with the surrounding modules and preserves the intended electrical connections inside the converter.
