Product Description:
The FC-280PK55T4E20H1BXCXXXSXXXXAL is an AC variable-frequency drive manufactured by Danfoss for the VLT FC 280 Midi Drives series. By modulating its output frequency, the drive regulates the speed of standard induction motors, allowing flow, pressure, or conveyor speed to be adjusted without mechanical throttling. Its compact form factor supports cabinet mounting in general automation, packaging equipment, and HVAC systems where controlled motor operation is required. The drive can receive speed commands and return operating data to a connected control system.
The drive supplies up to 0.55 kW, or approximately 0.75 HP, of continuous motor output and accepts a three-phase 380–480 VAC mains supply. A built-in brake chopper manages regenerated energy during rapid deceleration by directing it to a suitable braking resistor. The IP20 chassis enclosure protects against accidental contact with internal components while allowing accessible panel wiring, so the unit must be installed inside a suitable cabinet. A coated printed circuit board helps protect the control electronics from humidity and airborne contaminants in industrial environments. The drive does not include mains-side circuit breakers or fuses, allowing the required external protection to be selected for the installation. It is supplied in its standard electrical configuration without additional mains or adaptation options.
An integrated PROFINET control card provides real-time fieldbus communication for PLC speed commands, operating feedback, and diagnostic data. The inverter includes an EMC Category C1 at 200 V and Category C2 at 400 V RFI filter, which limits conducted electrical noise and supports compliance with applicable emission requirements. Parameter text is provided through the standard language pack for access to configuration menus and operating information. Because the drive does not include a factory-installed display, settings can be transferred or adjusted through a compatible remote keypad or the fieldbus interface. The absence of additional adaptation modules helps preserve the compact housing dimensions and leaves the standard connection arrangement unchanged. Motor control, status monitoring, and fault information can therefore be exchanged directly with the connected automation network without an additional communication module.
