Danfoss supplies the FC-280P15KT4H2BNCXXXSXXXXAX as an AC variable-frequency drive in its VLT FC 280 Midi Drives series. The unit converts a fixed three-phase mains input into a programmable output that allows precise speed and torque adjustment for induction motors used in conveyors, mixers, and pump stations. By placing the drive between the plant power network and the motor, automation systems can reduce energy consumption, synchronize process flow, and limit mechanical stress without changing the existing motor or load arrangement.
The drive is rated for a three-phase 380–480 VAC supply, so it can be wired directly to common industrial feeders without a step-up transformer. Its continuous output capacity is 15 kW, which corresponds to a mechanical shaft output of 20 HP. The drive has no brake chopper, so rapid deceleration requires the regenerated energy to be managed through the motor or a separate braking unit. The configuration uses uncoated control boards, meaning the electronics do not have a conformal coating. Installations in corrosive or moisture-prone locations should therefore use a suitable filtered or pressurized enclosure to protect the internal electronics.
The drive has no display, so operating data and setup functions must be accessed through a remote keypad or a compatible fieldbus adapter. Adaptation A is configured with no adaptation hardware, and the drive therefore uses its standard control functions without an optional module in that position. The Adaptation B position is also unpopulated. External control wiring can carry start, stop, speed-reference, and status signals between the drive and the machine controller. Supported remote control equipment provides access to parameter settings, operating conditions, and fault information when the unit is installed inside an electrical cabinet.
