Product Description:
The 134X3072 is an AC variable frequency drive manufactured by Danfoss within the VLT FC 280 Midi Drives series. Designed for small- to medium-power automation tasks, the unit converts fixed-frequency mains power into a modulated output that allows controllers to regulate motor speed and torque. By adjusting the frequency supplied to an induction motor, the drive can improve process accuracy and reduce energy consumption in conveyors, pumps, and compact material-handling stations. Its compact format supports installation in control cabinets where available mounting space is limited.
Electrical integration centers on a single-phase 200–240 VAC input, which allows the drive to operate from a compatible plant supply without a transformer. The output is rated at 0.75 kW, which corresponds to 1.0 HP for fractional-horsepower motors used in auxiliary machinery. The IP20 chassis enclosure protects against accidental contact with internal components but requires installation inside a suitable cabinet. Conducted emissions are limited by the built-in EMC Category C1 (200 V)/C2 (400 V) RFI filter, reducing the need for separate filtering components in compatible installations. A protective coating on the PCB helps shield the control electronics from humidity and airborne contaminants. Proper cabinet ventilation remains necessary to manage operating heat and maintain suitable airflow around the chassis.
Adaptation A and Adaptation B are not enabled, and the mains option is also disabled for this configuration. Network connectivity is provided by the integrated PROFINET control card, enabling cyclic data exchange with compatible PLCs without an additional gateway. The lack of a display means that parameter access and drive monitoring must be performed through PC software or fieldbus commands. The absence of a brake chopper prevents a braking resistor from being connected directly to the drive for dynamic energy dissipation. Applications with regenerative loads must therefore use a separate method to manage energy returned during rapid deceleration. The unit is intended for straightforward speed and torque regulation in machinery that operates within its available power and interface capabilities.
