Product Description:
The 134U7739 is a variable-frequency drive manufactured by Danfoss for the VLT FC 280 Midi Drives series. It regulates the speed of three-phase motors in automated machinery, allowing production lines to reduce energy use and match torque to process demand without changing mechanical components. The chassis format supports cabinet mounting in original equipment manufacturer applications. Its network interface also makes the drive suitable for distributed control architectures where panel space and straightforward wiring are important. Variable-speed operation can reduce unnecessary motor output in pumps, fans, conveyors, and other equipment with changing load requirements.
The input section accepts three-phase 380–480 VAC, allowing direct connection to common industrial power systems. The inverter has a continuous motor output of 15 kW, which is equivalent to 20 HP and supports medium-duty pumps, fans, and conveyors. Dynamic deceleration is handled by a brake chopper, which routes regenerative energy to an external resistor instead of allowing excessive voltage to accumulate on the DC bus. The housing has an IP20 chassis rating, providing protection against accidental finger contact while requiring installation inside a suitable enclosure. For conducted emissions, the built-in radio-frequency interference network meets EMC Category C1 at 200 V and C2 at 400 V. This filtering helps limit electrical interference that could affect adjacent instrumentation and communication equipment. Adequate cabinet ventilation and clearance around the chassis are still necessary to support heat dissipation during continuous operation.
An integrated PROFINET control card provides real-time setpoint exchange and diagnostic communication over standard Ethernet cabling, eliminating the need for a separate network gateway. This connection allows a compatible controller to send speed commands, monitor operating status, and retrieve fault information through the same industrial network. The power board uses a coated printed circuit board to resist moisture and airborne contaminants in humid or dusty control panels. The protective coating helps reduce the risk of conductive deposits forming across sensitive electronic components. A front plate without a display reduces the space required at the front of the drive and supports remote parameterization through the network or a detachable keypad. Remote access also allows operating values and diagnostic information to be reviewed without a permanently installed local display.
