Product Description:
The 134U7728 is a variable-frequency drive manufactured by Danfoss for the VLT FC 280 Midi Drives series. In an automation panel, it converts fixed-frequency mains power into an adjustable electrical output for controlling the speed of standard three-phase induction motors. This functionality supports variable-speed operation in conveyors, pumps, and small process machines. The drive regulates motor output according to control commands, allowing connected equipment to operate at the speed required by the application rather than continuously running at full speed.
The model supplies up to 0.55 kW of continuous electrical power to the motor terminals and operates from a three-phase 380–480 VAC supply. Its IP20 chassis enclosure provides basic protection against accidental contact with internal components. Because the chassis is not sealed against dust or water, the drive is intended for installation inside a suitable protective cabinet. An integrated EMC Category C1 at 200 V and C2 at 400 V RFI filter limits conducted electrical emissions and reduces the need for separate line-filtering components. Controlled deceleration is supported by a built-in brake chopper, which directs regenerated energy to an external braking resistor. This function helps prevent excessive DC-link voltage when the connected motor slows rapidly or drives a regenerative load.
Communication with higher-level control systems is provided by an integrated PROFINET control card, eliminating the need for a separate network gateway. The interface allows operating commands, reference values, and drive status information to travel across an industrial Ethernet network. The power and control boards have a protective PCB coating that guards solder joints and conductive traces against humidity and airborne contaminants. This coating supports operation in industrial cabinets where moisture or particulate contamination may be present. The unit has no display, so local interaction through an onboard screen is unavailable. Parameter entry, operating adjustments, and status monitoring are instead performed through compatible PC software or network commands. The standard configuration does not add special I/O extensions or supplementary harmonic-filtering components.
