Product Description:
The 134U7714 variable frequency drive is produced by Danfoss as part of the VLT FC 280 Midi Drives series. Designed for cabinet installation, the drive converts fixed mains power into a regulated output that allows machine controllers to adjust motor speed in material-handling, HVAC, and general production lines. The enclosure has an IP20 chassis rating and therefore requires installation inside a protected electrical panel, where the chassis remains shielded from accidental contact and contaminants.
It accepts a three-phase input of 380–480 VAC, a range that matches typical plant distribution networks. At the motor terminals, it can deliver an output of 0.75 kW, equivalent to 1.0 HP, for operating compatible induction motors. This output supports applications such as small conveyors, fans, pumps, and other machinery that requires adjustable speed. Noise suppression is provided by the built-in EMC Category C1 (200 V) / C2 (400 V) filter, which minimizes conducted emissions on supply lines. Adaptation A and Adaptation B are not selected, and the drive connects to the incoming feeder without an added mains option. The drive has no display, so parameter settings are accessed through remote tools or fieldbus software rather than a local operator panel.
Field integration is supported by the factory-installed Profibus DP control card, which provides cyclic setpoints and diagnostic data over a standard RS-485 network. This interface allows a compatible controller to send operating commands and receive drive status information without relying on separate analog signal wiring. During rapid deceleration, the internal brake chopper manages regenerative energy by routing it through the configured braking circuit. This arrangement supports controlled slowing when an inertial load causes the motor to return energy to the DC bus. For added durability, the drive uses a coated printed circuit board that resists moisture and airborne contaminants commonly found inside industrial enclosures. The protective coating helps preserve the control electronics when the surrounding air contains dust, condensation, or other residue from production processes.
