The 134U2979 is a variable-frequency drive manufactured by Danfoss for the VLT FC 280 Midi Drives series. It is designed for installation inside an IP20 control cabinet, where it regulates the speed of three-phase induction motors in light-to-medium-duty automation. By producing an adjustable output frequency from the incoming AC supply, the drive translates PLC commands into controlled motor speed and torque. Its compact design supports conveyor, pump, and fan systems where available cabinet space is limited and consistent motor regulation is required.
This model delivers a nominal shaft power of 0.75 kW, which corresponds to 1.0 HP. It operates from a three-phase 380–480 VAC mains supply, making it suitable for common industrial power systems within that voltage range. The IP20 chassis protects against accidental contact with hazardous internal components, but the drive requires a suitable enclosure where dust or liquids may be present.
