Product Description:
134U2979 is a compact AC drive. It is produced by Danfoss for control of high-power motors used in industrial applications. The drive connects to three-phase AC mains (380 to 480 Volts). A high-power rectifier performs the first stage of the power conversion process, converting the input to DC. Ripples and other anomalies in the DC voltage are removed by capacitors and smoothing circuits. Variable-frequency drives, such as the 134U2979, use PWM or pulse-width modulation to vary the length of pulses delivered to the inverter, which performs the second stage of the conversion process, converting DC to AC with controlled output. With PWM control, the drive can produce a wide range of output frequencies from 0 to 500 Hertz (0 to 200 Hertz for VVC mode). Typical output of the drive is 0.75 kilowatts.
Torque characteristics for the drive include up to 160% starting torque for 60 seconds and 160% overload torque for 60 seconds. The drive can supply 200% starting current for 1 second. Input current (continuous) at 380 to 440 Volts is 2.1 Amps, and can rise to 3.4 Amps for 60 seconds. The output current (continuous) is 2.2 Amps and can rise to 2.1 Amps for 60 seconds. At 400 Volts AC, the apparent power output is 1.5 kVA, which rises to 1.7 kVA at 480 Volts AC. Motor cable length limits for shielded and unshielded cables are 50 meters and 75 meters. The control card on the drive supports a number of digital and analog inputs and outputs, pulse inputs, and terminals for safe torque off are also located on the control card. Terminals for RS-485 and USB connectivity are also located on the control card.
