By converting constant-frequency mains power into a variable-frequency output, the drive lets building automation systems match motor speed with real-time airflow or pressure demand, which can reduce energy use and mechanical wear in industrial HVAC installations. This operating method also helps connected equipment run more smoothly during changing load conditions instead of cycling abruptly between full speed and stop.
