The FC-101P45KT6 is an AC variable frequency drive manufactured by Danfoss for the VLT FC 101 HVAC Basic Drives series. It is installed in ventilation or hydronic systems to regulate the speed of three-phase motors so that fans, blowers, and pumps deliver the flow required by the building management system. By converting fixed-frequency mains power into a variable-frequency output, the drive helps maintain pressure or temperature setpoints while reducing electrical demand in commercial and industrial HVAC installations. Its speed control capability allows connected equipment to respond to changing airflow, circulation, and process requirements instead of operating continuously at full speed.
The drive has a motor output rating of 60 HP, which corresponds to 45 kW. It is designed for 525–600 VAC supply networks and operates with a three-phase input. The continuous input current is 63.3 A, while the continuous motor current is 62 A. Brief overloads can draw up to 68.2 A without requiring the drive to reduce its rated operating capacity. The output frequency can be adjusted up to 400 Hz, extending the available speed range of compatible machinery. Two analog inputs accept either 0–10 V or 4–20 mA process signals. Its IP20/Open Type housing is suitable for clean electrical rooms, while dusty or humid locations require additional enclosure protection. Depending on cabinet design and ambient conditions, natural convection or light forced ventilation can provide the airflow needed to maintain acceptable internal temperatures.
