Product Description:
The FC-101P2K2T4 is an AC variable frequency drive manufactured by Danfoss for the VLT FC 101 HVAC Basic Drives series. As a member of the VLT HVAC Drive product group, it regulates the speed of three-phase fan and pump motors used in building automation. Its variable-speed control supports efficient airflow and water circulation in ventilation, cooling, and chiller systems by matching motor operation to changing demand.
This model accepts a 380–480 VAC three-phase supply and draws 4.7 A at 380–440 V. Its rated motor output is 2.2 kW (3.0 HP), and it reaches a peak modulation frequency of 400 Hz for voltage-to-frequency control. Its maximum conversion efficiency is 98.3%, which limits waste heat and supports cabinet designs that rely on passive airflow. Control wiring connects through terminals that accept conductors up to 4 mm² or 10 AWG, while an auxiliary 24 V output supplies as much as 80 mA for sensors or relays. The drive has two analog inputs and two analog outputs, with each output supporting a load resistance of up to 500 Ω. It also provides four digital inputs with 4 kΩ input resistance and a Form C relay contact rated for 250 VAC at 3 A, allowing connection to external alarm or bypass circuits.
Continuous motor current reaches 5.3 A with a 380–440 V supply and 4.8 A when the supply rises to 441–480 V. Power loss is limited to 46 W at the most efficient operating point, helping the drive remain within its cooling capacity during normal service. The available analog, digital, and relay connections allow the unit to interface directly with building management controllers without requiring an additional gateway. Analog inputs can receive process references from pressure, temperature, or flow sensors, while the digital inputs can process run commands and operating states. The analog outputs can report monitored values to external equipment, and the relay can signal drive status or control related HVAC components. These connections support closed-loop pressure, flow, or temperature regulation in automated building systems.
