The 131N0182 is an AC variable frequency drive manufactured by Danfoss for the VLT FC 101 HVAC Basic Drives series. Within the VLT HVAC Drive product group, it adjusts the speed of three-phase fan and pump motors to match airflow or pressure demands in building systems, reducing energy consumption and mechanical wear. By modulating output frequency rather than relying on throttling devices, the unit provides variable-speed control and accepts control signals from building automation systems through its standard interface. This operating method allows connected equipment to respond to changing demand without running continuously at full speed.
The drive delivers a continuous electrical output of 2.2 kW, corresponding to a shaft rating of 3.0 HP. It accepts a supply of 380 – 480 VAC through a three-phase supply, so it can be connected to common IEC power distribution systems. Because a brake chopper is not installed, kinetic energy produced during rapid stops must be managed by the connected machinery. The IP54 enclosure rating indicates protection against limited dust ingress and water splashes, although the enclosure is not rated as Type 12.
