Product Description:
The 131L9866 is an AC variable-frequency drive manufactured by Danfoss for the VLT FC 101 HVAC Basic Drives series. It modulates the output frequency supplied to a three-phase induction motor to regulate motor speed. This control allows building automation systems to maintain the requested airflow or coolant flow while reducing the energy consumed by fans and pumps in commercial HVAC applications.
The inverter delivers a continuous mechanical output of 4.0 kW, corresponding to 5.0 HP at the motor shaft. It accepts a mains supply of 380–480 VAC and is designed for three-phase operation on networks commonly found in industrial control panels. The chassis provides IP20 chassis protection, so the drive must be installed inside a clean enclosure that prevents contact with live components and limits exposure to contaminants. Conducted-emission suppression is handled by an integral RFI Class A1 (C2) filter, allowing installation on C2-classified distribution systems without an external line filter. The unit belongs to the VLT HVAC Drive product group and includes the standard software release. Its standard language pack provides multilingual access to operating parameters and configuration menus.
The A, B, D, mains, C0, C1, and C software option fields are unpopulated. The mechanical interface uses standard cable entries under the Adaptation A field, while Adaptation B has no modification. A coated printed circuit board protects the control electronics against moisture and airborne contaminants that could affect internal copper traces. The drive does not include an internal brake chopper, so the motor coasts during stop conditions that do not use external braking equipment. The unit is supplied with no local control panel; operating parameters can instead be changed through remote bus commands or an optional detachable local control panel. This arrangement permits the primary controls to remain outside the drive enclosure when the unit is installed within an HVAC control cabinet.
