Product Description:
The 131L9862 is an AC variable frequency drive produced by Danfoss for the VLT FC 101 HVAC Basic Drives series. It belongs to the VLT HVAC Drive product group and regulates centrifugal pumps and fans in building automation systems. By adjusting motor speed to match real-time airflow or water-flow demand, the drive can reduce unnecessary energy consumption when equipment does not need to operate at full capacity. The chassis mounts inside a switchboard and can connect directly to a building management system, but it does not include an integral local control panel.
This model accepts a 380–480 VAC supply through a three-phase mains connection. It converts the incoming power into a variable-frequency output for small induction motors with a maximum rating of 0.75 kW (1.0 HP). The unit has an IP20 chassis enclosure, which provides protection against accidental finger contact with hazardous internal components. Additional protection from dust, moisture, and physical contact must be provided by the surrounding cabinet. Its internal power electronics support the operating cycles commonly required by centrifugal fans and pumps, including extended periods at reduced speed. The variable output allows connected motors to accelerate and decelerate gradually, reducing abrupt mechanical loading on belts, couplings, and driven equipment.
Adaptation A provides standard cable entries for routing mains, motor, and control wiring into the enclosure. Adaptation B includes no additional modification, allowing the standard wiring arrangement to be used without specialized entry hardware. The printed circuit boards have a protective coating that helps guard the electronic components against airborne humidity commonly found in mechanical rooms. Conducted electromagnetic interference is limited by an integrated RFI class A1 (C2) filter, which is suitable for compatible commercial supply networks when the drive is installed correctly. The power stage contains no brake chopper, so regenerative energy produced during deceleration is not dissipated through an internal braking resistor. No optional modules are installed in positions A, B, C0, C1, or D, and the unit does not include a mains disconnect. The standard language pack provides multilingual menu text for configuring operating parameters through a compatible interface.
