Product Description:
The 131L9799 is an AC variable-frequency drive manufactured by Danfoss for the VLT FC 101 HVAC Basic Drives series. Within an air-handling unit or chilled-water loop, the drive adjusts induction motor speed so building management controllers can maintain temperature and pressure setpoints without operating motors continuously at a fixed line frequency. By converting fixed incoming power into a regulated output waveform, the product supports energy-efficient operation of fans and pumps in industrial and commercial ventilation systems.
The inverter supplies a continuous shaft capacity of 7.5 kW for compatible HVAC motors. It connects to plant power through a 200–240 VAC input rated for three-phase distribution, making it suitable for common industrial power systems within that voltage range. Its chassis-mounted design has an IP20 chassis protection level and is intended for installation inside a ventilated control cabinet that restricts access to electrical components. The integrated RFI class A1 (C2) filter limits conducted emissions and supports operation in applicable industrial electromagnetic compatibility environments. The drive does not contain a brake chopper, so a dynamic braking resistor cannot be connected directly to an internal braking circuit. An external disconnecting device must also be provided when the installation requires local isolation from the incoming power supply.
Cabling passes through standard cable entries under Adaptation A, supporting conventional cabinet wiring without special entry hardware. Adaptation B adds no special mechanical plates or glands, leaving enclosure preparation and cable management to the surrounding cabinet layout. The power section uses a coated PCB that improves resistance to airborne humidity and contaminants commonly found in rooftop mechanical rooms and ventilation equipment spaces. The drive has no local control panel, so parameter entry, status viewing, and operating adjustments require remote tools or a compatible plug-in LCP. Application-specific relay and I/O boards are not factory-installed, and the C0 and C1 positions do not contain additional motion-control or electromagnetic compatibility modules.
