Product Description:
The 134X1807 decentralized variable frequency drive is produced by Danfoss as part of the VLT FCD 302 Decentral Drives series. It belongs to the VLT Decentral Drive FCD product group and is intended for installation directly on or near a motor, reducing wiring runs in conveyor, pump, and fan applications. By placing the power electronics at the field level, the unit controls induction motors while reducing the amount of cabinet space required. This arrangement also supports stand-alone operation in distributed automation systems where drives are positioned close to individual machines.
The drive delivers 2.2 kW of continuous output, equivalent to 3.0 HP, when connected to a three-phase 380–480 VAC supply. This input range supports operation on typical 400 V European mains and 480 V North American mains without electrical adjustment. The internal filter meets RFI Class A1/C2 requirements, helping conducted emissions remain within industrial limits. A dedicated mains-side service switch allows the inverter to be isolated for maintenance without requiring the field wiring to be disconnected. The large stand-alone configuration supports direct motor mounting. The drive does not include a mains plug or motor plug, so power cables are terminated through application-specific cable glands.
The housing has an IP66/NEMA 4X rating, which protects the electronics against high-pressure washdown, dust, and outdoor moisture. The enclosure attaches to machinery frames with flat mounting brackets, providing a stable installation surface near the driven equipment. All conduit entries have metric threads for use with compatible cable glands and regional fittings. Sensor feedback connects through a directly mounted cluster with four M12 connectors positioned on the bottom face, keeping signal connections organized and accessible. A display connector on the front panel accepts a remote keypad module for parameter access. The unit is supplied without a fieldbus option, leaving communication dependent on the installed control arrangement. It is also supplied without a brake, so applications requiring controlled stopping or load holding must use an appropriate external solution.
