Internal Product Review
The 134U9169 is a Danfoss VLT FCD 302 decentralized drive built for distributed motor control on 380-480 VAC three-phase systems. Profinet communication and a standard black IP66/NEMA4X enclosure make this unit especially appealing for networked installations in demanding plant environments. Brake chopper with mechanical brake support and a 24VDC back-up input add strong functional value for controlled stopping and control continuity.

Product Description:
The 134U9169 decentralized inverter is manufactured by Danfoss for the VLT FCD 302 Decentral Drives series. Mounted close to the motor, this compact unit converts line power into a variable-frequency output, allowing the speed of a conveyor, fan, or pump to be adjusted without a cabinet-mounted drive. Control electronics and fieldbus connectivity are integrated into the housing, reducing long wiring runs between the drive and motor. This arrangement supports distributed automation zones in processing plants where equipment must be installed near individual driven loads.
The drive accepts a three-phase input of 380–480 VAC and delivers 0.75 kW of continuous output power. Its A option provides Profinet communication for cyclic setpoint and status exchange without an external gateway. The standard black enclosure has an IP66/NEMA 4X rating, protecting the internal electronics against dust, water jets, and corrosive conditions. The unit uses a complete small stand-alone hardware configuration with metric threads. It is supplied without a mains plug or motor plug, allowing suitable regional connectors to be fitted for the application. The compact chassis can be mounted directly near machinery while keeping the power conversion and communication components within a sealed housing.
The integrated brake chopper and mechanical brake manage two separate operating needs. The brake chopper handles regenerative energy during deceleration, while the mechanical brake holds the motor shaft when power is removed. A 24 VDC backup input keeps the control electronics active when the main line supply is unavailable. Conducted emissions are reduced by an RFI Class A1/C2 filter. Field devices connect through a direct-mount interface with six M12 connectors, providing local connection points for sensors and related equipment. Flat mounting brackets support attachment to the machine structure, and a service switch on the motor side provides local electrical isolation. A display connector is also included for connection to a compatible operating interface.
