The 134L1282 is a decentralized variable-frequency drive produced by Danfoss and assigned to the VLT FCD 302 Decentral Drives series. Mounted directly on a motor or nearby frame, the unit converts three-phase mains power into a controlled pulse-width-modulated output, giving system builders localized speed regulation without separate control cabinets. In conveyor lines, packaging cells, or distributed pump arrays, the drive reduces wiring runs and simplifies expansion by integrating the power electronics, fieldbus interface, and service elements into a single enclosure.
The drive has a nominal three-phase input range of 380–480 VAC, allowing it to connect to common industrial feeders without transformers. At the motor terminals, it can supply up to 2.2 kW of continuous mechanical power, matching small to midsize induction motors used on auxiliary axes. The A-option board adds EtherNet/IP communication, enabling real-time commands, diagnostics, and peer-to-peer data exchange over the same network connection. The fiberglass-reinforced housing has an IP66/NEMA 4X rating, protecting the electronics against high-pressure washdown and airborne particles in food-processing or outdoor environments. An internal filter meets RFI Class A1/C2 limits, helping installations comply with conducted-emission requirements when long motor cables are used.
A factory-installed service switch on the motor side isolates the output during maintenance, allowing power to be disconnected at the machine rather than at a distant panel. All conduit entries use metric threads, which accommodate standardized cable glands and help maintain enclosure sealing in wet or dusty areas. The drive is delivered in a complete small stand-alone configuration that combines control logic, gate power, and electromagnetic compatibility components inside the same casting. The unit includes no motor brake, so an external mechanical retainer or load-side braking device must provide holding torque when power is removed. This arrangement allows the drive to be installed close to the controlled motor while keeping the main power conversion, network communication, and local isolation functions at the machine.
