Product Description:
The 134H1873 decentralized frequency converter is produced by Danfoss within the VLT FCD 302 Decentral Drives series. By integrating the power electronics, I/O, and fieldbus interface inside an IP-rated housing, the device is intended to regulate the speed of three-phase AC motors located directly on production machinery. Positioning the drive close to the load minimizes harmonic distortion on long motor cables and supports flexible, modular conveyor or pump layouts in automated plants.
It accepts a three-phase supply of 380-480VAC, matching standard industrial mains, and delivers up to 3.0 kW of output power, equivalent to 4.0 HP, for medium-duty motors. The enclosure has a Standard White IP66/NEMA4X rating, so the electronics are sealed against washdown water and airborne dust. An internal EMC network is classified as RFI Class A1/C2, limiting conducted emissions on the supply lines. The drive includes a display connector for local parameter access, but it comes without a brake, brackets, mains plug, motor plug, fieldbus plug, sensor plugs, or a switch option. It is a complete large standalone model, so it can operate without auxiliary modules.
For network communication, the A option provides Profibus DP. The D option adds a 24 VDC backup input that keeps the control electronics active during mains interruptions. No B option is selected, and both general and software-specific reserved fields remain unused. Mounting holes use Metric threads, and no external brackets are supplied. The unit belongs to the VLT Decentral Drive FCD product group and carries the series code 302. Because mechanical braking is omitted, external stopping devices are required when the application calls for them, and the absence of integrated switches or plugs leaves fewer openings on the enclosure surface.
