Product Description:
The 134G6549 decentralized frequency converter is manufactured by Danfoss as part of the VLT FCD 302 Decentral Drives series. Supplied within the VLT Decentral Drive FCD product group, it mounts directly on machinery so cable runs are short and shielded enclosures can be smaller. By integrating the inverter stage, basic I/O, and the network interface in one sealed housing, the unit provides localized speed control for conveyors, pumps, and compact packaging cells.
Its continuous mechanical output is 0.55 kW, which is equivalent to 0.75 HP, allowing it to drive small IE2 or IE3 induction motors. The converter accepts a 380–480 VAC three-phase mains supply and is enclosed in an IP66/NEMA4X housing, so water jets and dust do not enter when it is mounted directly on equipment. An internal RFI Class A1/C2 filter limits conducted emissions to maintain EMC compatibility on factory power networks. The hardware is delivered as the complete small stand-alone configuration, so external brackets, an integrated brake, and built-in mains, motor, fieldbus, sensor, or switch plugs are omitted, and wiring is made directly to the drive’s fixed terminals.
Communication is provided through the Profibus DP interface in the A option, allowing the drive to exchange process data with PLCs without auxiliary gateways. Position feedback support is included with the C Encoder option, so speed loops can be closed around an external incremental encoder when required. A dedicated 24 VDC backup input keeps the control electronics active during mains interruptions, preserving parameter memory until normal power returns. Wiring access is provided through cable glands with Metric threads, and a detachable display connector provides access to the local keypad for diagnostics. Two reserved identifiers, one for general hardware and one for software, are held for Danfoss use.
