Product Description:
The decentralized drive 134F3168 is produced by Danfoss for the VLT FCD 302 Decentral Drives series. Installed close to the motor, it converts fixed-frequency plant power into a variable output that regulates motor speed. This arrangement supports conveyors, pumps, and similar factory equipment while reducing the length of motor power cables between the drive and the connected machine.
This model accepts a three-phase supply of 380–480 VAC, allowing direct connection to typical industrial mains without step-down transformers. Its continuous electrical capacity is rated at 3.0 kW, providing the power required for compatible motors under continuous operating conditions. The Standard Black enclosure is certified to IP66/NEMA 4X, so the electronics remain sealed against washdown water and airborne dust. Conducted emissions are attenuated by an internal filter classified as RFI Class A1/C2, providing electromagnetic compatibility on mixed-load busbars. The unit is supplied without a display connector. Brackets, mains plugs, motor plugs, fieldbus plugs, sensor plugs, and switch assemblies are also omitted, leaving the necessary cable hardware to be selected for the installation.
An integrated A-option interface supports Profibus DP for cyclic process data and diagnostic communication with the control system. The D-option terminal accepts a 24 VDC backup input that keeps the control logic active during brief mains interruptions. Because the drive has no brake, the application must rely on the driven machine or external hardware to provide holding torque when power is removed. The drive places its power electronics directly on the machine, while the absence of installation-box threads reduces protrusions in confined mounting areas. Serial identifier 302 associates the model with the corresponding parameter structure, and its cable-based connection arrangement accommodates the absence of onboard switch and sensor contacts.
