Product Description:
The 131Z7628 decentralized frequency converter is manufactured by Danfoss for the VLT FCD 302 Decentral Drives series. Mounted directly on or near the motor, the unit provides localized speed control for conveyors, mixers, and other industrial machinery without routing motor cables back to a central cabinet. Its design combines power electronics, control logic, and an IP66 housing so it can operate in washdown or dusty zones common in material-handling and food-processing lines.
The drive delivers a continuous shaft output of 0.37 kW, equivalent to 0.5 HP, which suits fractional-horsepower induction motors in auxiliary axes. It accepts a 380-480 VAC three-phase supply, allowing installation on standard low-voltage plant networks. The housing has a Standard White IP66/NEMA 4X rating, meaning it resists water jets, corrosive cleaning agents, and airborne dust. Communication with higher-level controllers is provided through the integrated Profibus DP A-option, enabling parameter access and real-time reference updates. Because no brackets, installation box, or threaded fittings are included, the unit is fastened directly to a flat surface, and wiring enters through user-specified cable glands.
Conducted emissions are reduced by the embedded RFI Class A1/C2 filter, so the drive can be used on unshielded motor leads within industrial limits. Mechanical stopping torque is not supplied because the unit has no brake, so applications that need holding force must use an external brake or mechanical lock. Local parameter viewing is omitted because the unit has no display connector, so setup is handled through a remote PC or handheld programmer. The VLT Series 302 platform supports sensorless flux control and diagnostic functions. The unit has no B option, no D option, and no switch option. Fieldbus, mains, motor, and sensor plugs are not included, and the Reserved and Reserved for SW flags remain available for future expansion.
