The 131Z5368 decentralized frequency converter is produced by Danfoss for the VLT FCD 302 Decentral Drives series. Classified in the VLT Decentral Drive FCD product group, it mounts directly on the machine so speed and torque can be regulated without a cabinet-based inverter. This arrangement supports conveyors, mixers, and other distributed loads while shortening motor leads and lowering energy loss. It also places the drive closer to the motor, which can simplify machine-mounted layouts.

The drive supplies up to 1.0 HP, or 0.75 kW, of mechanical output for small pumps or gear motors. Its input section accepts 380-480 VAC three-phase mains, allowing direct connection to typical plant distribution. The molded housing has a standard white finish and carries an IP66/NEMA4X rating, which helps prevent dust ingress and permits washdown cleaning. For network integration, the A-option board adds Profibus DP communications so parameter sets and motion commands can be issued from a PLC. An internal DC link and vector algorithm synchronize frequency and voltage to keep torque stable across the speed range.

Electromagnetic compatibility is provided by the built-in RFI Class A1/C2 filter, which suppresses conducted noise on the supply lines. Dynamic stopping must be handled by the load because the unit is supplied with no brake; external resistors are required if rapid deceleration is expected. Local status viewing is limited because there is no display connector. Installation remains simple because there is no fieldbus plug, no mains plug, and no motor plug, so the cables are hard-wired. Additional items such as B and D options, brackets, sensor plugs, a switch option, and an installation box are also omitted. Fields labeled Reserved and Reserved for SW are unused on this version of the 302 platform.
