Product Description:
The 131Z4974 is a decentralized variable-frequency drive manufactured by Danfoss for the VLT FCD 302 Decentral Drives series. It is intended to mount close to an induction motor so it can regulate speed and torque directly on the production line. This layout helps reduce cabinet wiring and keeps power conversion near the driven equipment. It is well suited for automated systems that benefit from compact field installation and a drive that can be mounted outside a central control enclosure.
This model accepts a three-phase supply of 380–480 VAC, which matches common low-voltage industrial distribution systems. Its output is rated at 2 HP, which is equivalent to 1.5 kW for moderate conveyor, pump, and mixer duty. The unit uses an IP66/NEMA4X black enclosure that helps protect the electronics from dust, washdown exposure, and cleaning chemicals during surface-mounted operation. Factory communication can be added through an optional Profibus DP interface in the A-option slot, while the other option positions remain empty. A molded front connector allows a handheld display to be attached for parameter entry, and no mains plug, motor plug, or fieldbus plug is included so cable entry can be matched to local requirements.
EMC performance is supported by an integrated RFI Class A1/C2 filter. Four sensor connections are available through Direct mount 4×M12 sockets for encoders or process switches, and all fasteners use Metric threads to match common European machine hardware. The drive is built as a compact stand-alone unit and does not require an auxiliary feeder cabinet. No brackets or external switch options are included because the housing is intended to bolt directly to the motor frame. Brake control circuitry is not included, and the suffix 302 identifies the control platform used for this drive.
