Product Description:
The 131Z4068 is an installation box used with Danfoss drives in the VLT FCD 302 Decentral Drives series. It provides the mounting and connection point for a decentralized variable-frequency drive, letting the power stage sit close to the motor instead of inside a central cabinet. This arrangement helps shorten field wiring in conveyor, pump, and fan systems. Because the box serves as the local interface, power and control connections can be placed nearer the driven machine section. It is intended for distributed drive layouts where local connections are preferred over long motor cable runs.
The unit is supplied in a standard black IP66/NEMA 4X enclosure, so it can handle washdown cleaning and outdoor spray without an added housing. Its configuration is a small standalone installation box, and it mounts directly to the machine with metric threads. The power connection accepts 380–480 VAC three-phase input, which matches common industrial mains and indicates that hardwired installation is expected. A display connector is included so a detachable keypad can be connected, and the box comes without a motor plug, fieldbus plug, or switch option. That layout suits applications where the drive is fixed to the machine frame and exposed to moisture or routine cleaning.
Electromagnetic compatibility is supported by an internal RFI Class A1/C2 filter that reduces conducted noise on the supply lines. Sensor wiring connects through a direct-mount 4 x M12 panel, which allows switches or encoders to be wired without a separate junction box. The mechanical layout has no brake, so any stopping or holding torque must come from the connected motor or the driven load. Its power classification is Installation Box Only, which means the semiconductor switching components are located in the associated drive module rather than in this box. Option positions A, B, and D are left empty, so the unit stays in a straightforward base configuration without added interface modules.
