Product Description:
The 131U9224 decentralized drive installation box from Danfoss belongs to the VLT FCD 302 Decentral Drives series. It is supplied as an installation-only component that mounts close to the motor, allowing power and signal termination at the machine instead of inside a distant cabinet. In automated lines, this arrangement reduces cable length, keeps high-frequency switching noise away from control panels, and permits local speed regulation for conveyors, mixers, or pump stations operating under variable-frequency control.
Incoming three-phase mains from 380-480 VAC feed the box, and the integrated EMC network meets RFI Class A1/C2 requirements to contain conducted emissions. The housing is a sealed standard black enclosure with an IP66/NEMA 4X rating, so the unit tolerates washdown cleaning and outdoor dust exposure. Mechanical attachment uses flat brackets, and the internal layout is identified as Inst.box small stand alone. It omits regenerative hardware, so the brake channel is no brake. The A, B, and D option codes state that no options are fitted, and there is no mains plug, motor plug, sensor plug set, or switch option, so cables are hard-wired through sealed glands to keep the ingress protection intact.
Threaded openings use metric threads for compatibility with standard European cable glands. A service socket with display connector accepts the detachable VLT control panel for parameter upload or diagnostic viewing. The no fieldbus plug selection leaves network expansion hardware out of the box. The power rating line lists Installation Box Only, which indicates that the inverter power module is housed elsewhere in the drive system. Labels marked Reserved and Reserved for SW indicate unused internal positions, and the absence of a B option or switch option keeps the internal layout compact.
