Product Description:
The FC302P7K5T6131B0182HXXGXX is an AC variable frequency drive built by Danfoss for the VLT FC 302 Automation Drives series. The unit converts fixed-frequency three-phase power into variable-frequency output, allowing industrial controllers to regulate induction motor speed, torque, and process throughput. It is sized for 10-horsepower installations on 575-volt networks and includes brake chopper circuitry and internal diagnostics. The drive can operate independently or under PLC control in pump, fan, and conveyor applications that require precise electrical speed regulation.
On the mains side, the drive accepts a supply of 3 × 525–600 V AC. At the nominal 575-volt operating point, it delivers continuous apparent power of 11 kVA at 575 V while supplying a continuous motor current of 11 A at 600 V. Mechanical output is rated at 7.5 kW, which corresponds to 10 hp. Efficiency is 0.97, so only a small portion of the input energy is lost as heat. The true power factor is at least 0.9, and the maximum input current during demanding cycles is 9.9 A. A phase imbalance limit of 3.0% protects the rectifier diodes from uneven supply conditions. Standard cable entries accommodate shielded motor leads up to 150 m long or unshielded leads up to 300 m long.
A high-voltage warning is issued when the DC bus reaches 965 V DC, and an overvoltage alarm trips at 975 V DC to protect the bus capacitors. Dynamic braking engages when the DC link rises to 943 V DC, allowing the integrated brake chopper to dissipate excess energy through a connected braking circuit. Total heat dissipation is 261 W at full load, so the enclosure must provide sufficient ventilation for the resulting thermal load. The allowable mains voltage variation is ±10%, supporting operation during normal supply fluctuations. This configuration does not include internal mains disconnect hardware. The drive uses the standard cable entry arrangement for routing power and motor conductors through the enclosure.
