Product Description:
The FC302P7K5T5131F2722H2BGXX is a variable frequency drive produced by Danfoss within the VLT FC 302 Automation Drives series. As an AC inverter, it modulates three-phase supply power to regulate induction motor speed and torque in industrial automation tasks such as conveyors, pumps, and process fans. The drive integrates control, protection, and braking circuitry to simplify panel layouts and maintain consistent motor performance across varying load demands.
This model delivers a continuous output of 7.5 kW, giving it sufficient capacity for midrange machinery. During acceleration, it can generate a starting torque of 160% for 60 s, and the internal brake chopper dissipates excess energy when the motor decelerates. Feedback to external controllers is provided through a 12-bit analog output, while digital inputs tolerate up to 28 V DC and present an impedance of 4 kΩ so PLC cards are not overloaded. Two programmable transistor outputs can source 40 mA, which is sufficient for compatible contactor coils or status lamps. For energy monitoring, the unit is classified in the IE2 efficiency class, reducing distribution losses. Dynamic torque response has a 1 ms flux-oriented rise time and a 10 ms VVC+ rise time, allowing the drive to respond to abrupt load changes. Electronic logic restricts power-up events to two per minute to protect the supply capacitors.
The drive operates at full load from 0 °C up to 45 °C, and no derating is required at elevations up to 1000 m above sea level. The STO safety circuit draws only 50 mA rms from the 24 V supply, which reduces demand on the supporting power source. No additional EMC filter is supplied, allowing external suppression to be selected for local emission requirements. Adequate airflow must be maintained when the unit is mounted in a standard switchgear enclosure. These operating conditions support the stated torque response and efficiency across the permitted temperature and elevation ranges.
