The FC302P7K5T2131B5890H2BGXX is an AC variable frequency drive manufactured by Danfoss and supplied within the VLT FC 302 Automation Drives series. As part of the VLT AutomationDrive FC product group, the unit converts constant-frequency mains power into a pulse-width-modulated output, giving industrial controllers precise speed and torque regulation for induction motors used in conveyors, pumps, and general material-handling equipment. It mounts in control cabinets and interfaces with PLCs through standard drive terminals.
The drive accepts a three-phase input of 200–240 V AC at a line frequency of 50/60 Hz ±5%. Under these conditions, it delivers a continuous motor output of 7.5 kW for mid-range industrial machinery. Carrier modulation permits motor excitation up to 590 Hz, so vector control can maintain torque above the motor’s base speed when mechanical overspeed is permissible. The drive tolerates a mains voltage imbalance of 3.0%. Successive energizations are limited to two power-ups per minute to reduce inrush stress on the input circuit.
At rated current, the drive operates with an efficiency of 0.96, while its displacement power factor remains above 0.98. The true power factor is at least 0.9 during sinusoidal operation, helping reduce reactive loading on the incoming supply. For dynamic braking, the internal circuit activates at 390 V DC, and a high-voltage pre-alarm occurs at 405 V DC. An overvoltage trip follows at 410 V DC to protect the DC bus capacitors. Vector algorithms track magnetizing current up to the 300 Hz flux-frequency limit, maintaining field orientation during high-speed operation. Installations may use up to 150 m of shielded motor cable or 300 m of unshielded motor cable, allowing the drive and motor to be installed in separate locations without an additional output filter.
