The FC302P5K5T6134G1592HXBGXX variable frequency drive is produced by Danfoss for the VLT FC 302 Automation Drives series. It is supplied without an integrated line disconnect, allowing the installation to use separately selected upstream isolation and protection devices. The drive modulates three-phase power to regulate the speed of asynchronous motors, improving process control and reducing energy consumption under variable loads. It meets the IE2 efficiency class when paired with suitable equipment and can control conveyors, pumps, fans, and other motor-driven machinery in automated plants.
The inverter delivers 5.5 kW of shaft power and provides a rated output current of 9.0 A across a supply range of 551–600 V. At 575 V, this electrical demand corresponds to an apparent power of 9.0 kVA. The maximum carrier-based output frequency reaches 590 Hz, while the flux-vector channel operates at frequencies up to 300 Hz. A flux-mode torque rise time of 1 ms allows the controller to respond quickly when the connected load changes. The analog output supports either a 0–10 V voltage signal or a 0–20 mA current signal, uses a 12-bit resolution, and can drive loads with an impedance of up to 500 Ω. Digital inputs tolerate as much as 28 V DC, while the pulse counter accepts frequencies up to 110 kHz. The unipolar solid-state digital output can switch at up to 32 kHz for high-speed status signaling to compatible control equipment.
Continuous full-load operation is supported at ambient temperatures up to 45 °C. The drive requires no thermal derating at elevations of 1000 m or less, allowing its full current capacity to remain available within that range. Above this elevation, the allowable current decreases proportionally to keep semiconductor junction temperatures within operating limits. Shielded motor cables can extend up to 150 m between the inverter and motor, providing flexibility when the equipment is installed away from the control cabinet. Unshielded motor cables may extend up to 300 m when the installation conditions permit their use. These cable allowances support layouts with remote motors without requiring the drive to be mounted directly beside the controlled machinery.
