Product Description:
The FC302P1K5T5131X7336H2BGXX variable frequency drive is part of the VLT FC 302 Automation Drives series manufactured by Danfoss. By converting a fixed three-phase mains supply into a regulated output, it allows machine controllers to adjust induction motor speed and torque according to current load demands. This function supports energy-efficient operation in pumps, fans, material-handling conveyors, packaging equipment, and other automated machinery. Precise motor regulation also helps maintain stable process performance as operating conditions and mechanical loads change.
With a continuous power capability of 1.5 kW, the inverter handles auxiliary and light process drives used on skids and packaging lines. Its pulse-width modulation stage can deliver carrier-controlled output frequencies up to 590 Hz, while a separate flux optimization channel is limited to 300 Hz so motor magnetization remains within suitable operating limits. A built-in brake chopper engages when the DC link reaches an active braking level of 810 V DC. An initial high-voltage warning appears at 840 V DC, and the system raises an overvoltage alarm at 855 V DC. The brake chopper routes regenerative energy to a suitable braking resistor when decelerating loads return energy to the DC link. The staged warning and alarm responses allow the higher-level control system to reduce the load or stop operation before excessive voltage damages the power components.
The analog monitor channel is digitized with 12-bit resolution, providing detailed conversion of monitored control signals. Two transistor digital outputs can each source up to 40 mA for optocouplers, LED indicators, or other compatible low-current devices. The control board also provides two relay outputs for form-C signaling to contactors or alarms. Shielded motor leads may extend up to 150 m, while unshielded runs can reach 300 m where local regulations permit their use. These cable distances support installations in the EN/IEC 61800-3 C3 category, helping conducted and radiated noise remain within the applicable industrial limits. Because the drive does not include an additional EMC filter, an external filter may be required for residential or laboratory installations governed by stricter EN 55011 limits.
