The unit is an AC variable frequency drive that converts 575 V three-phase mains power into a controlled, pulse-width-modulated output for induction motors used in conveyors, pumps, fans, and material-handling lines. Its role in industrial automation is to let a controller adjust motor speed and process throughput while reducing the energy losses associated with throttling valves or mechanical gear changes. The controlled output also allows acceleration and deceleration profiles to be matched to the operating requirements of connected machinery.
