As a member of the VLT AutomationDrive FC product group, the unit converts fixed-frequency three-phase power into a modulated output that lets controllers match motor speed to real-time process demands. It is deployed in conveyors, pumps, and ventilation systems where adjustable speed improves energy consumption, lowers mechanical stress, and maintains accurate flow or pressure in automated installations.
The control terminal block supplies a reference of 10.5 V ±0.5 V that powers external potentiometers, while a 24 V auxiliary rail can source up to 200 mA for sensors and small relays. Two differential analog inputs accept ±10 V or 0–20 mA signals; the conversion provides 10-bit resolution plus a sign bit, and absolute accuracy is held within 0.5% FS. Each channel draws no more than 30 mA, preventing excessive loading of sensitive transmitters. The analog output can drive feedback devices with impedances as low as 500 Ω.
