Product Description:
The FC-302PK75 variable-frequency drive is manufactured by Danfoss for the VLT FC 302 Automation Drives series. The drive converts a constant mains supply into a modulated output that allows PLCs to adjust motor speed and torque in material-handling systems, pumps, and fans. This power segment supports the IE2 efficiency class, making the unit suitable for applications that require efficient motor control. Its operating capabilities allow connected equipment to respond to changing process demands without relying on fixed-speed motor operation.
The power section delivers 0.75 kW of continuous output, equivalent to 1.0 HP, and can switch its transistors at frequencies up to 590 Hz when wide-range speed control is required. Carrier-frequency selection extends to 32 kHz, allowing acoustic noise to be reduced in sensitive areas. An analog output with 12-bit resolution provides real-time feedback to supervisory controls, while digital outputs rated at 40 mA can operate contactors or indicator lamps. The input terminals tolerate up to 28 V DC on their logic lines. For vector-based applications, the flux mode can reach 300 Hz, and the torque reference responds within 1 ms, maintaining tight current regulation during rapid load changes. These control functions support applications that require accurate speed adjustment, quick torque response, and stable motor behavior under changing loads.
During motor startup, the unit can supply 160% of rated torque, and it can sustain an overload of 110% for short intervals to handle process peaks. Full-load operation is supported at ambient temperatures up to 45 °C; above this temperature, derating applies until the absolute limit of 55 °C is reached. The drive maintains its specified current output at elevations up to 1000 m and remains functional with current reduction at elevations up to 3000 m. These operating limits accommodate installations in warm production areas and facilities located at higher elevations. Proper cabinet ventilation and applicable current derating should be considered when the drive operates beyond its full-load temperature or elevation range.
