Product Description:
The FC-302PK55T5E is an AC variable frequency drive produced by Danfoss for the VLT FC 302 Automation Drives series. Within an automation cell, it modulates three-phase mains power to regulate induction motor speed and torque, allowing conveyors, pumps, or fans to respond to changing load demands. The drive belongs to the VLT AutomationDrive FC product group and carries the internal series identifier 302. Its control architecture supports variable-speed applications that require stable motor operation across a broad operating range.
This model operates on a nominal three-phase input of 380–500 VAC. It supplies a continuous output current of 1.8 A at lower input voltages, while the available current decreases to 1.6 A toward the upper end of the input range. The maximum input current is 1.6 A at lower supply voltages and 1.4 A at higher supply voltages. The motor output is rated at 0.75 HP, which corresponds to an electrical power rating of 0.55 kW. Overall conversion efficiency reaches 0.95, and the unit has an IE2 energy performance classification. Power-up frequency is limited to two times per minute to protect the DC-link components from excessive thermal cycling. Its three-phase topology promotes balanced loading across the incoming supply lines. Flux control can operate at frequencies up to 300 Hz, supporting smooth torque regulation at low motor speeds.
The inverter delivers a maximum output frequency of 590 Hz, making it suitable for motors that operate above standard line frequency. Its DC-link brake chopper activates at 810 VDC to manage energy returned during motor deceleration. Protective logic provides a high-voltage warning at 840 VDC and activates an overvoltage alarm at 855 VDC. Torque demand can rise from zero to the rated level in 1 ms, supporting rapid changes in process speed or load. Steady-state power loss is 42 W, which must be considered when arranging airflow inside an enclosure. The broad output range can accommodate high-speed spindles and blowers while maintaining controlled acceleration and deceleration. Internal monitoring protects the power stage when voltage or thermal conditions exceed permissible operating limits.
