Product Description:
The FC-302PK3T5E20H1 is a variable frequency drive manufactured by Danfoss for the VLT FC 302 Automation Drives series. Its power stage converts fixed-frequency three-phase mains power into a controlled pulse-width modulation output. This controlled output allows automation systems to adjust induction motor speed and torque according to real-time process demands. It also reduces the need for mechanical throttling when regulating motor-driven equipment.
The drive is housed in an IP20 enclosure, so live parts are protected against finger contact when the unit is installed inside a cabinet. It can deliver an output voltage of up to 100% of the supply voltage, maintaining line-to-motor voltage parity for full-torque operation. Its frequency range extends to 300 Hz during routine flux-mode operation and reaches 590 Hz for high-speed spindle applications. A displacement power factor greater than 0.98 limits the reactive load placed on supply feeders, while the true power factor remains at or above 0.9. Shielded motor cables may extend up to 150 m without exceeding the drive’s impedance limits. Unshielded motor cable runs may extend up to 300 m under the same operating conditions. The unit supports continuous operation at ambient temperatures from 0 °C to 45 °C, making it suitable for installation in most climate-controlled production facilities.
Conducted radio-frequency noise complies with EN 55011 Class A1/B, providing documented electromagnetic compatibility for industrial installations. An integrated EMC filter is included, reducing the need for separate suppression hardware in the electrical cabinet. Energy performance meets the IE2 classification, supporting efficient operation in motor-driven automation systems. The drive can operate at altitudes up to 1000 m before output derating is required because of reduced air density and cooling capacity. Supply voltage symmetry must remain within a 3.0% phase imbalance to prevent excessive current loading and avoid protective trips during operation.
