Product Description:
The FC-302P5K5T5E20H2BGXXXXSXXXXAXBKCXXXXDX is an AC variable-frequency drive manufactured by Danfoss for the VLT FC 302 Automation Drives series. This chassis-mounted inverter converts plant mains power into a modulated output for controlling the speed and torque of induction motors. It allows automation controllers to adjust motor operation according to changing process demands in conveyors, pumps, fans, and other industrial machinery. Controlled acceleration and deceleration can reduce mechanical stress on connected equipment, while variable-speed operation can lower energy consumption when full motor output is unnecessary. The drive is intended for installation within a suitable electrical cabinet that provides the required protection and operating clearances.
The power module provides a continuous motor output of 5.5 kW, which is equivalent to 7.5 HP. This output capacity supports motors in the corresponding power range during starting, acceleration, and continuous operation. The rectifier and inverter accept an input supply range of 380–500 VAC from a three-phase power network, making the unit suitable for common industrial distribution systems. The enclosure provides IP20 chassis protection, which prevents finger contact with hazardous internal parts but does not protect the drive from dust or moisture. Cabinet mounting hardware for A, B, and C frame sizes aligns the unit with compatible switchboard mounting surfaces. Standard cable entries accommodate metric or NPT cable glands without requiring additional drilling.
Operation and parameter access are provided through a graphical local control panel, which presents status information and supports direct adjustment from the front of the drive. Digital and analog signal capacity is expanded by the installed MCB-101 general-purpose input and output board in the B-option position. An internal brake chopper routes regenerated energy toward a suitable braking circuit, allowing the motor to decelerate rapidly when the application requires controlled stopping. An integrated RFI filter reduces conducted electrical interference passing from the drive toward the mains supply. The printed circuit boards are uncoated, so the installation area must remain free of conductive dust, condensation, and corrosive contaminants. The standard language pack supports navigation through the local control interface, while the chassis arrangement provides access to power, motor, and control terminals inside the cabinet.
