Product Description:
The FC-302P5K5T5E20H2B is an AC variable-frequency drive produced by Danfoss for the VLT FC 302 Automation Drives series. It converts fixed input power into a modulated output that allows plant controllers to match motor speed and torque to real-time demand in conveyors, pumps, and general machinery. Programmable acceleration and deceleration profiles support controlled starts and stops, reducing mechanical stress on connected equipment. Variable-speed operation also eliminates the need for mechanical throttling in applications where process output can be regulated by changing motor speed.
The drive provides a continuous motor output of 5.5 kW, which corresponds to 7.5 HP. It accepts an input voltage range of 380–500 VAC with three-phase power, allowing direct connection to common industrial power systems within that range. The IP20 chassis enclosure protects against accidental contact with internal electrical parts and the entry of solid objects larger than the applicable protection limit. Because the chassis is ventilated, the drive must be installed inside a suitable cabinet with adequate clearance for cooling airflow. Its power electronics regulate the frequency and voltage supplied to the motor, allowing stable speed control as operating demand changes.
The integrated brake chopper controls regenerative energy produced during rapid motor deceleration by directing that energy to a compatible braking resistor. This function helps prevent excessive DC-bus voltage when the connected load returns energy to the drive. The unit supports normal cabinet mounting for A, B, and C frames, with the heat sink, airflow path, and terminals arranged for standard enclosure installation. An integrated RFI filter reduces conducted electromagnetic interference that could otherwise travel through the power connection toward nearby equipment. The drive belongs to the VLT AutomationDrive FC product group, which supports compatible communication cards, control options, and graphical keypads for industrial motion and process-control systems.
