Product Description:
The FC-302P5K5T5E20H1XXX is an AC variable frequency drive built by Danfoss for the VLT FC 302 Automation Drives series. The unit modulates its output frequency in response to commands from an automation controller, providing adjustable speed control for induction motors. This capability allows pumps, fans, and conveyors to operate at the speed required by the process rather than continuously running at full speed. Reducing unnecessary motor speed can also lower energy consumption in industrial plants.
It connects to industrial supplies ranging from 380–500 VAC and is intended for three-phase power networks, eliminating the need for phase conversion. The inverter delivers a mechanical output of 5.5 kW, which corresponds to 7.5 HP and supports many medium-duty fan or pump applications. Its IP20 chassis enclosure is suitable for installation inside a ventilated cabinet. The enclosure provides basic protection against accidental contact with internal electrical components, although it does not protect against water ingress. Thermal management relies on natural convection through the chassis fins, so the surrounding enclosure must provide enough airflow to prevent excessive temperatures and output derating. The drive uses the parameter structure associated with other VLT AutomationDrive FC units, allowing it to integrate with compatible automation systems and motor-control configurations.
For electromagnetic compatibility, the integrated filter meets RFI Class A1/B (C1), limiting conducted emissions without requiring additional filtering hardware. The drive has no brake chopper, so regenerated energy produced during rapid deceleration must be managed through the motor-control configuration or suitable external braking equipment. Installation is supported by normal cabinet mounting for A, B, and C frames, which maintains consistent mounting arrangements across the applicable frame sizes. The drive uses uncoated circuit boards, so the surrounding air should remain free of corrosive chemicals and excessive contamination that could damage exposed electronic components. An LCP keypad is not included, but the front-panel slot allows a compatible local control panel to be added when direct parameter access or local operation is required.
