Product Description:
The FC-302P2K2T5E20H1 is a variable-frequency drive produced by Danfoss within the VLT FC 302 Automation Drives series. The unit modulates AC power to regulate induction motor speed, allowing automated lines to match motor torque to real-time process demand while minimizing energy loss. It can control pumps, fans, conveyors, and other machinery that requires adjustable speed or torque. Designed for installation in machine cabinets, the drive uses the control architecture found throughout the VLT AutomationDrive platform. Its shared parameter structure supports consistent configuration across compatible power sizes.
This model supplies a mechanical output of 2.2 kW, which corresponds to 3.0 HP at the shaft. This output capacity is suitable for small pumps, fans, conveyors, and similar industrial loads. The input terminals accept a mains voltage range of 380–500 VAC, allowing operation on either 400 V or 480 V plant networks without electrical modification. The power section uses three-phase power, distributing current symmetrically among the motor phases to reduce torque ripple and promote uniform motor heating. Internal current sensors monitor the output and adjust the switching pulses to deliver the commanded power without exceeding the limits of the semiconductor components. This regulation also helps the motor respond accurately to changes in speed and load demand.
An IP20 chassis enclosure protects against accidental contact with live parts, but the surrounding cabinet must provide the required protection from dust and water. Conducted emissions are attenuated by the built-in RFI Class A1/B (C1) filter, reducing the need for a separate emissions filter on compatible commercial or light-industrial power systems. The unit supports normal cabinet mounting for A-, B-, and C-frame layouts, allowing the heat sink to align with the appropriate back-panel mounting pattern. Adequate clearance around the enclosure permits cooling air to pass across the heat sink and carry generated heat away from the power electronics. The drive belongs to Series 302, which indicates its position within the VLT AutomationDrive product range. Its cabinet-oriented design keeps power, motor, and control connections accessible while maintaining separation between higher-voltage conductors and low-voltage signal wiring.
