Product Description:
The FC-302P18KT5E21H1BGXXX is an AC variable-frequency drive produced by Danfoss for the VLT FC 302 Automation Drives series. It converts constant-frequency industrial power into a programmable output waveform that regulates the speed and torque of compatible induction motors. In factory automation systems, the drive supports electronic adjustment of pump flow, process pressure, fan speed, or conveyor velocity without relying on mechanical throttling. This control method can improve process stability by allowing motor output to follow changing operating demands. The unit is intended for integration with industrial machinery that requires adjustable speed, controlled acceleration, and repeatable stopping.
The drive has a rated output of 25 HP, corresponding to 18.5 kW of motor power. Its rectifier accepts an input range of 380–500 VAC and uses a three-phase power input for direct connection to compatible plant feeders. The enclosure has an IP21 / Type 1 rating, making it suitable for clean indoor locations that are protected from excessive moisture and direct water exposure. The circuit boards are uncoated, so the surrounding cabinet must remain dry and free from condensation or corrosive airborne contaminants. The configuration does not include a mains option, which means that any required line isolation, disconnect equipment, or input reactor must be installed separately upstream. Standard cable glands provide entry points for power, motor, and control conductors while helping organize wiring inside the enclosure.
A built-in brake chopper controls surplus DC-bus energy during rapid motor deceleration and works with the braking arrangement to support shorter stopping times. The heat sink carries the brake transistor and transfers generated heat away from the power electronics during operation. A RFI Class A1/B (C1) filter limits conducted electrical noise and supports use on applicable category C1 networks. Local setup and monitoring are performed through the Graphical Local Control Panel, which provides keypad-based menu navigation, parameter access, operating information, and trend viewing. The VLT AutomationDrive FC designation places the unit within a compatible range of control accessories and option cards. Because the drive has no integrated mains isolator, suitable upstream protection must be provided as part of the electrical installation. Adequate cabinet ventilation and the required mounting clearances should be maintained so heat can leave the drive without exposing the uncoated boards to moisture.
