The FC-302P18KT5E20H1 variable frequency drive is built by Danfoss for controlling asynchronous motors in automated machinery. As a chassis-mounted inverter, it converts fixed mains power into a variable-frequency output for conveyors, pumps, and material-handling equipment. Its adjustable output allows motor speed to follow process demand instead of remaining at a fixed operating speed. This control can reduce unnecessary energy consumption, limit mechanical stress during acceleration, and provide smoother operation for connected machinery.
The drive provides a continuous output of 18.5 kW, which corresponds to 25 HP when expressed in imperial units. Its input accepts a supply range of 380–500 VAC, allowing direct connection to common low-voltage industrial feeders within that range. The unit operates with three-phase power, supporting balanced input current and symmetrical excitation of the connected motor.
