In an automation cell, it converts fixed-frequency mains power into an adjustable output that allows a controller to regulate induction motor speed and torque. By modulating voltage and frequency, it supports conveyor sections, pumps, and general process equipment that require energy-efficient speed control.
The drive delivers a continuous output of 11 kW, equivalent to 15 HP, so it can run medium-sized fan or pump motors without derating. Its input section accepts a line supply from 380 to 500 VAC on a three-phase power network, matching common industrial switchgear. The factory-installed A Option card is a PROFIBUS DP V1 MCA 101 module, providing cyclic setpoint exchange and diagnostic messaging with PLCs.
