The drive converts a fixed three-phase mains supply into a modulated output for controlling motor speed and torque. It is designed for cabinet installation with compatible A, B, or C frame arrangements. In conveyors, pumps, and material-handling systems, adjustable motor output allows the connected equipment to respond to changing process demands without relying on mechanical throttling.
The drive supplies up to 11 kW of continuous electrical power, corresponding to a mechanical motor capability of 15 HP. Its input section accepts 380–500 VAC through three-phase power lines used in industrial electrical systems. The IP20 chassis enclosure protects against accidental contact with internal components, but the unit must be installed inside a suitable cabinet. Standard cable glands are fitted at the cable entries to support organized routing for mains, motor, and control wiring. An internal RFI filter attenuates conducted electrical interference that could otherwise travel through the supply network. The Brake-Safe Stop configuration does not include a brake chopper, so applications that require dynamic braking must use an external braking solution.
The optional communication and I/O cards allow the drive to exchange control data and monitor motor conditions. The A-option slot contains a PROFIBUS DP V1 MCA 101 module, which provides fieldbus communication with compatible automation controllers. The B-option slot contains an MCB-112 PTC thermistor card, which receives temperature information from motor-winding sensors and passes it to the drive’s protective functions. The circuit boards are uncoated, so the surrounding cabinet must protect the electronics from moisture, conductive dust, and corrosive contaminants. No local control panel keypad is supplied with this configuration, while the standard language pack remains available for supported interfaces. The standard cabinet mounting arrangement keeps the wiring terminals and optional card area accessible for installation, inspection, and routine service.
