Product Description:
The FC-302P11KT5E20H2BN variable frequency drive is manufactured by Danfoss as part of the VLT FC 302 Automation Drives series. It converts fixed-frequency, three-phase mains power into a regulated output waveform, allowing control systems to vary motor speed and manage torque for changing process demands. Controlled acceleration and braking can improve process accuracy, reduce mechanical stress, and lower energy use during periods of reduced demand. Intended for standard cabinet installation, the unit supports industrial conveyors, pumps, mixers, and other equipment that requires closely managed motor operation.
The input section accepts 380–500 VAC, allowing the same drive model to operate on either 400 V or 480 V utility grids without transformer tap changes. At the motor terminals, it can continuously supply 11 kW, which corresponds to a motor output of 15 HP. The drive draws electricity from a three-phase power supply, providing balanced loading across the incoming phases. Its electrical components are housed in an IP20 chassis enclosure, which protects against accidental contact with hazardous internal parts while permitting the airflow needed for cooling. The broad input range supports use in industrial facilities with different standard line voltages, while the compact chassis format allows installation in space-constrained automation panels.
During rapid deceleration, the built-in brake chopper directs surplus DC-bus energy to an external braking resistor, helping prevent excessive bus voltage. Parameters are entered and operating values are viewed through the numerical local control panel, which provides direct access to drive settings and status information. The unit supports normal cabinet mounting for A, B, and C frames, allowing it to fit the applicable cabinet arrangement with the required ventilation and service clearances. Conducted electrical emissions are reduced by an internal RFI filter, helping the installation satisfy applicable factory electromagnetic compatibility requirements. The exposed heat sink transfers operating heat away from the power electronics, while the cabinet airflow carries that heat out of the enclosure.
