Product Description:
The FC-302P11KT5E20H is an AC variable frequency drive produced by Danfoss for industrial motor control. It converts fixed-frequency mains power into adjustable frequency and voltage for regulating induction motors in pumps, conveyors, fans, and other automated machinery. This control allows the connected motor to follow changing process demands without relying on mechanical throttling or frequent across-the-line starts. Controlled acceleration and deceleration can also reduce mechanical stress on couplings, belts, and driven equipment while supporting stable torque throughout the operating range.
The drive provides a continuous mechanical output of 15 HP under rated operating conditions. Its inverter section is rated for 11 kW, making it suitable for midrange machinery that requires steady motor power. The input accepts 380–500 VAC, allowing direct connection to common industrial supply networks within that voltage range. It operates with three-phase power, which supports balanced delivery of power to the rectifier and inverter stages. The control electronics and power components are installed in an IP20 chassis enclosure. This enclosure protects against accidental contact with hazardous internal parts but requires installation inside a suitable ventilated control cabinet. Adequate clearance around the heat sink and ventilation openings must be maintained so generated heat can leave the drive without obstructing nearby equipment.
The unit supports a normal cabinet mount for A, B, and C frames, allowing attachment to an appropriate cabinet backplate. The mounting arrangement leaves the heat sink accessible to fan-assisted cabinet airflow and helps prevent blocked ventilation paths. Within the VLT AutomationDrive FC product group, the internal model code is 302. The shared control architecture provides a consistent keypad layout and parameter organization across compatible drive sizes. Standard control terminals allow the drive to receive speed references, start and stop commands, and operating feedback from a machine controller. The front interface also provides access to operating status, motor settings, alarm information, and diagnostic data during normal use.
