Product Description:
The FC-302P 131H1591 is a drive manufactured by Danfoss for the VLT FC 302 Automation Drives series, with the internal series identifier 302. As part of the VLT AutomationDrive FC product group, it modulates three-phase mains power to control motor speed and energy consumption in automated machinery. A graphical local control panel is mounted on the front of the unit for parameter setup and status viewing. This model uses a C3 chassis and coated printed circuit boards that resist airborne contaminants in industrial installations.
The drive operates on electrical networks between 380–500 VAC. Within that voltage range, the inverter delivers a continuous output of 45 kW, which is mechanically equivalent to 60 hp. It maintains a rated motor current of 90 A during continuous operation. For short-term loading, the current capacity rises to 135 A for 60 seconds, allowing the drive to accelerate equipment with high inertia. The apparent power at 400 V is 62.4 kVA, and the input section supports a maximum line current of 82 A. These electrical values assist with the selection of supply conductors, protective devices, and motor cables while keeping each circuit within the drive’s operating limits.
Heat dissipation is rated at 891 W, so the electrical enclosure must provide sufficient ventilation to remove thermal energy during operation. The housing carries an IP20 rating and must be installed in a clean enclosure that protects it from moisture, dust, and accidental contact. Electromagnetic compatibility is classified as A2 (C3), which is suitable for industrial environments using shielded motor cables up to 150 m long. Unshielded motor cable runs may extend up to 300 m when the installation conditions permit their use. The drive is supplied without an internal brake chopper, so an external braking module is required when the application produces regenerative energy that cannot be absorbed elsewhere in the system.
