Product Description:
The 137X4974 is an AC variable frequency drive produced by Danfoss and supplied within the VLT FC 302 Automation Drives series. Intended for machine-level automation, the drive converts fixed mains frequency into a controllable output that adjusts motor speed, helping improve cycle control and reduce inrush current in conveyor, pump, and fan applications. The unit is configured for cabinet mounting on A, B, and C frame panels, making it suitable for standard industrial control enclosures.
Electrical sizing centers on a continuous power rating of 7.5 kW, which corresponds to a mechanical output of 10 HP when the connected motor operates at rated speed. The input supply can range from 380–500 VAC, allowing the same inverter to operate on common industrial networks. Inside its housing, the inverter accepts three-phase power only, and the enclosure carries an IP20 / Chassis rating, so it must be installed inside a protected control panel. To limit electromagnetic emission toward nearby equipment, a factory-installed RFI filter is connected ahead of the rectifier stage. The drive also includes an integrated brake chopper that diverts surplus regenerative energy to a resistor during deceleration.
System integration is supported by the A-slot communication card specified as EtherCAT MCA 124, which enables real-time data exchange between the drive and motion controllers without additional gateways. Local interaction is handled through the detachable Graphical Local Control Panel, which presents parameter groups, fault logs, and scope tracing on a backlit display. For environments with airborne moisture or dust, all printed circuit boards carry a coated finish that helps protect copper paths and solder joints. This protection supports longer operating life when the inverter is installed in humid production areas.
