The 137L5381 is an AC motor drive manufactured by Danfoss for the VLT FC 302 Automation Drives series. Installed inside a control cabinet, it modulates induction motor speed so conveyors, pumps, or mixers run only as fast as the application requires. By doing so, it supports energy-efficient process control across the production floor. Variable-speed operation can also reduce mechanical stress during startup and normal running when full motor speed is not needed. That control approach helps maintain steadier process behavior where product flow, fluid movement, or mixing speed changes from one operating step to the next.

This unit communicates with upper-level PLCs through the integrated PROFINET MCA 120 network card, and its power section accepts a mains supply of 380 - 500 VAC. The input is designed for three-phase power, which suits common industrial distribution systems. Output capability is rated at 1.5 kW. Protection is classified as IP20, so the drive requires installation inside a closed panel. Coated PCBs resist airborne moisture and dust, and the standard cable entry plate simplifies gland installation. The standard cable entry plate also helps separate motor, control, and communication wiring in compact enclosures. An optional resolver interface provided by the MCB-103 card allows compatible feedback devices to report rotor position.

An active brake chopper works with the built-in RFI filter to manage excess DC-link voltage while limiting high-frequency interference on surrounding wiring. Operators adjust set points with the Numerical Local Control Panel, which provides local access to operating values, menu navigation, and basic commands at the cabinet door. The drive's motor output is also expressed as 2.0 HP, which suits medium-duty conveyor, pump, and mixer applications. Cabinet airflow must be maintained so heat can move away from the chassis during operation.
