The 137L2305 is an AC variable frequency drive manufactured by Danfoss for the VLT FC 302 Automation Drives series. Installed inside control cabinets, it modulates the frequency and voltage supplied to three-phase induction or permanent-magnet motors so automation systems can match speed and torque to real-time process demands. By varying output frequency and voltage together, the unit supports controlled acceleration, steady-state speed regulation, and process-specific torque adjustment in automated machinery. It is intended for general motion and flow applications where a compact chassis-mounted drive is preferred and where communication with plant controllers is handled through fieldbus connections.
For cabinet installations, the drive accepts a mains supply of 380 – 500 VAC and delivers up to 7.5 HP, which is equivalent to 5.5 kW of continuous shaft power. The enclosure has a rating of IP20 / Chassis, so it depends on the surrounding cabinet for dust protection. Normal cabinet-mount A, B, and C frames are supported, and standard cable entries simplify wiring. The front door includes a graphical Local Control Panel that displays parameters in the standard language pack. Network integration is handled by the PROFINET MCA 120 option card, while resolver feedback from connected motors is accepted through the MCB-103 resolver board. This arrangement keeps operator access at the drive face while leaving power and network terminations inside the enclosure.
Control functions include a built-in RFI Filter, allowing the three-phase power input to meet EMC limits without separate line modules. Dynamic stopping energy is routed to the integrated brake chopper, which helps protect the DC link during rapid deceleration. The printed circuit boards are not coated, and the unit uses forced-air cooling with clear internal thermal paths for cabinet installation. Because the input filter is built in, the drive can address line-side interference without a separate external filter in the basic configuration.
